While I was browsing through a copy of C't
, I came across an ad for virtual servers starting at EUR4.99 per month. Since that would be a very good price, I went over to the hosting company's site
to look at it a bit more closely.
What I found there is most unusual.

Now am I looking at a web hoster or a disgusting back-alley prostitute?

You think that the Gillette Fusion
is overkill? In that case, be afraid, be very afraid.

- So the semester is over and I’m in the middle of exam period right now, with one exam (and one project) left, “Programming Technology in C++”, which will be tomorrow. Then one more semester, after which I’ll have an undergraduate degree. Feels kind of weird actually.
- Xgl and compiz seem to be the current greatest thing in eyecandy on the desktop and while they do look very sexy, I think I’ll wait until things stabilize a bit before I play around with them. Don’t really feel like messing around with CVS code right now.

Yes, the rumors were true, Futurama is returning. But not as a TV show, instead they’ll be making straight to DVD movies. First release is rumored to be early 2007. Hope they’re good.
See story here.

Picked up a new monitor yesterday, the LG M203WX. Let me tell you, 20″ widescreen 1680 by 1050 through DVI is a huge improvement over my old 19″ Viewsonic CRT. It doubles as a (HD)TV as well, so now I should find a way to utilize that. I’d get a Xbox 360 if only it weren’t so expensive. Oh well.

I was looking around trying to find out what magic was needed to compile the latest version of Banshee on Breezy without having to get a new Mono as well when I ran across this guy, who provides debs for the latest release of Banshee. Get them here. Later versions are a huge improvement over the version in Breezy, with many major bugs fixed, hopefully without including any new big ones. For example, iTunes 5 and iTunes 6 is now supported for iPods, and non-latin filenames should work as well now.

So someone in #linux pasted in this link which provides a Cairo enabled Clearlook theme for Breezy. Needless to say, I downloaded it.
So here it is, in conjuntion with the nuoveXT icon theme (sorry Jorge, not Tango, it’s still incomplete).

So I have a new blog again. Why do I keep on doing this?
So I will stop leaching Matthias’ webspace now that I have a wordpress.com account. Still, thanks man.
In other news, not much has happened since my last post. I did get my iPod back though, so now I’m on my 3rd 4th gen 40GB iPod.
